Endring means change in Norwegian. In honoring our Norwegian heritage, it is an appropriate word to describe life with technology. We embrace technology to affect change.

Jon Scarbrough is Principal and founder of Endring Solutions. After graduating with a BA in Mathematics from Augustana University and a MS in Computer Science from Indiana State University, Jon has engaged in change management in a variety of technology roles and industries.

Examples include the following:

  • Created new revenue streams through innovative software design and products assisting the company achieving 25% YoY revenue growth. One innovation resulted in a patent application
  • Consolidated invoicing, prospect database and account management into a single CRM solution.
  • Introduced real time data streaming (Kafka/Storm) for big data solutions as well as system integrations
  • Created a Web 2.0 SaaS multi-tenant platform handling large volume consumer traffic for hundreds of large national retailers
  • Managed both on shore and off shore development teams
  • Provided key technical defense during patent litigation
  • Led technology discovery and due diligence for acquisitions
  • Implemented technology services on Google Cloud and AWS for big data data sets.
  • Chose and implemented new Web Component technology for new web facing consumer applications.
  • Utilized NodeJS to integrate two diverse hosted and Azure based platforms unifying into a single API.
  • Deployed serverless API solution on Google Cloud using Bitbucket/CircleCI for automated builds/deployment.
  • Implemented Oracle based financial and HR/Payroll systems
  • Created Oracle based data warehouse to manage a manufacturing company management reporting needs (WIP, Job Cost, Scrap, Productivity, Efficiency, Sales) dramatically reducing staff costs
  • Migrated a mainframe General Ledger system to a local ERP cutting monthly closing time by 90% and reducing staff costs
  • Developed a database driven sales forecasting tool producing 95% accurate forecasts. Reports were emailed weekly to business unit leaders at 81 locations around the country
  • Created a clustered, high availability infrastructure in geo-diverse data centers resulting in 99.999% uptime
  • Implemented virtualization of host Linux systems achieving a 50% reduction in data center expenses
  • Migrated a year 2000 plagued mainframe enterprise system to a new web based client-server platform
  • Designed and implemented single sign on for email, network access and desktop control years ahead of widely commercially available solutions using an integrated enterprise directory services approach
